Radford women’s soccer continues their winning ways by traveling to beat Virginia Military Institute Keydets 1-0 in Lexington, VA at Patchin Field. The Highlander’s powered off 20 shots compared to the Keydets 11 in a dominating shut out.

Junior transfer Brianna Oliver scored the lone goal of the match. It was her first game as a Highlander.

The high-octane attack forced VMI goalie, Noelle Heilpern, to manage eight saves on the night.

This game marks the fourth win of the season for the women’s soccer team at Radford. In this game, the Highlanders continued their strategy of shutting out their opponents, something they’ve done in each victory this season.

Radford Head Coach Ben Sohrabi expects the team to come out with more “urgency and energy” at the beginning of the game.

The Highlanders will continue their road trip traveling to East Tennessee State University Sept. 13.
