With winter homecoming quickly approaching, there’s no better time to prepare for the rivalry which will accompany the annual wintry occasion. As current Radford University students prepare for the renowned winter homecoming this upcoming weekend, Feb. 24 and 25, RU alumni are also welcome to participate in the homecoming festivities and events alongside present students. While all alumni are encouraged to partake in RU’s homecoming celebrations, those graduates of the classes of 2001 – 2011 have been specifically asked to experience college and campus life with their classmates once again. With the Young Alumni Reunion, this is the very first invitation to RU graduates and alumni to return to the Highlander campus and revive the competition in some of RU’s most beloved events.

Not only can alumni expect to see many familiar faces throughout campus, those alumni are also able to bring family and friends to join in on the weekend activities and games. With shopping available on campus throughout Friday afternoon, free admission is offered to both the alumni teaching day, and the Goya, Dali, and Warhol exhibit in the Covington Center Friday.

With a pep rally, campus tours, and opportunities to visit the planetarium, the City of Radford can expect for an influx of visitors and alumni next weekend.

While men’s and women’s Alumni Basketball games will be held Friday at the Dedmon Center, the Hoopla BBQ bash and the Polar Plunge are among the most well-liked of events, as each advocate a combination of fun and community competition. Registration is available to those who wish to participate and it is open to both former and present-RU students. Please consider some of the events require participants to register in advance, so make note of those activities.
