Radford University is ditching its old ID design and re-branding its student and faculty IDs as ONE card.
Along with the new card name, the RU ID office in Heth has been renamed to the ONE card office, and RU Express is now called the ONE card account.
It seems the ONE card does not come with any new functions – it simply does everything the old IDs do. That includes meal plans, building access, and free rides on Radford Transit.
If you bring your old ID to Heth between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, they will exchange it for a new ONE card. If you don’t have your old ID, they will charge $20 for the new one.
There is no known date at which the old IDs will no longer function – it could be weeks, months, or an entire semester. These new cards will likely become a mandatory upgrade by Spring 2020, so get yours while you can.
