Radford is the 30th largest city in Virginia. Even though it’s nowhere near the largest city in Virginia, there are still many amazing restaurants available to students, residents, and visitors.
Here is a list of some of the best restaurants in Radford:
Radford Coffee Company
Radford Coffee Company, or RCC, may technically be a coffee shop, but they also have amazing food. Along with their drinks, such as coffees, smoothies, and shakes, RCC serves paninis, traditional breakfast foods, wraps, and salads.
Additionally, Radford Coffee Company not only serves the New River with delicious coffee and food, but they also serve the Coconut River.
According to their website, RCC is involved with Project Ezra, which helps in educating children in Nicaragua. Their website also states that they are involved with community projects located within the New River Valley.
Sharkey’s is a great place to eat and hang out with friends and family. With classics like hamburgers and wings, Sharkey’s has something that will satisfy everyone’s hunger.
Along with their great food, Sharkey’s also provides great deals every day of the week.
For example, the restaurant has a buy one get one free deal on their burgers every Monday. Sharkey’s deals also include: Kids Eat Free Tuesday’s, Wings & More Buffet on Sundays and Wednesdays, and 10% off on Thursdays.
They also provide entertainment. Restaurateurs can play pool every day and participate in trivia on Wednesdays.
Additionally, Sharkey’s Up Top provides a dance floor for people 21+ on the weekends.
With an array of options, El Charro provides delicious and affordable Mexican food. They serve entrees that include chicken, beef, seafood, pork, and vegetarian options.
The Mexican restaurant also has a free salsa bar, a favorite among many. They often provide at least 10 different options that patrons are free to try.
With the salsa bar and generous portions, El Charro is sure to fill even the hungriest person.
Pizza is always a crowd-pleaser, and Sal’s does it like no other.
This pizzeria has many beautiful signature pies every day of the week. Sal’s provides many toppings, such as spinach, feta, Italian pepperoni, eggplant, and chicken.
Also known for their pasta, Sal’s offer Pasta Night every Monday. Pasta Night presents several different pasta dishes that will satisfy anyone’s cravings.
Golden Bowl provides Radford with excellent Asian cuisine at exceptional prices. They also offer the convenience of being available to order online for both dine-in and carry out.
Aside from their delicious options, Golden Bowl offers a unique dessert; rolled ice cream. Golden Bowl makes several different flavors of this treat fresh daily.
BT’s has become a favorite among Radford University students for multiple reasons. The restaurant is a very short walk from campus, making it easier for students to get to the restaurant.
This full-service restaurant offers entrees ranging from soups, salads, burgers, sirloin, and sandwiches. On the weekends, BT’s also has a brunch menu including items, such as omelets and pancakes.
BT’s doubles as a bar and has a late-night menu, along with an excellent atmosphere for a weekend night hang out.
Brick House Pizza
Finally, Brick House Pizza provides wood-fired pizza made from handmade dough, made daily. The pizzeria serves their pizza garnished with many different vegetables and other toppings.
Along with their pizza, Brick House Pizza serves wings. The hot sauce that covers these wings are also handmade in the restaurant. Brick House Pizza’s wings are also cooked in their wood oven.
Live music can be regularly found at this restaurant, and it’s also a great place to watch many different sports games.
You may notice that there aren’t a lot of good places to dine at or near Radford, but here is our list of must-eat places. With all these amazing restaurants offered nearby the campus, you’re bound to find one that you really enjoy.
