RU COVID-19 Dashboard Reports Even Lower Numbers of Positive Cases

The Radford University COVID-19 Dashboard is reporting a total of two new positive cases this week on campus out of 271 tests performed. These two cases make a total of 411 positive cases since the start of the fall semester.

The dashboard is also reporting an overall positive percentage rate of 10.11 percent, down 0.67 percentage points, from the week of Sept. 21.

Mandatory testing took place for students and faculty involved in clinicals for the third time at Radford University Carilion. There were 149 tests performed, with zero new positive cases, according to the dashboard.

Hemphill said, “Once again, our compliance and enforcement activities are proving to be successful.”

Overall, Radford University Student Health Center, in partnership with PathGroups, as well as Carilion Clinic, has performed a total of 4,065 tests this semester.

According to an email sent Tuesday, Sept. 29, University President Brian O. Hemphill said, “Once again, our compliance and enforcement activities are proving to be successful. Please remain committed to following Commonwealth of Virginia requirements, Radford University expectations, and public health guidance as we officially enter the second half of the Fall 2020 semester!”
