With many assaults and reports of abuse being reported at universities, it continues during Radford University Alumni weekend with the recent reportings of a Radford women being raped on Saturday, March 2.
According to the Radford University police, a 19 year-old Radford woman reported that she was raped by four men. According to the Roanoke Times, police responded just after midnight to the 700 block of New River Drive in Radford. The woman told officers four black men who she had met earlier Friday evening had forcibly raped her.
Police sent out a news release to the Radford community stating that the woman and the four men probably met in the Bondurant Center during a concert on East Main Street earlier that evening. Police assumed that the men were college students between the ages of 19 and 22.
The four suspects were all described as followed, a black male who is about 5-feet-8-inches tall with shoulder-length dreadlocks. He was wearing a white T-shirt and a long, navy blue button-down shirt. The next suspect was a black male with shoulder-length dreadlocks who was wearing a pink polo shirt and a beige sweater with a hole in the armpit. The next one was black male who was taller, with light skin, freckles and a short buzz cut. He was wearing a navy blue jacket and a black male who wore a white shirt, a white beanie with black writing and a white jacket.
This report will be taking into further investigation by the Radford University Police Department. More information on this issue will be released as soon as possible.

Every minute in America, there are 1.3 forcible rapes of adult women, 78 each hour 1,871 each day, 56,916 each month 683,000 every year. 1 out of 4 college women reported being sexually assaulted sometime during their four years. Only 10-16 percent of rapes are reported. Of 123,850 women reporting rape or attempted rape, 41.3 percent occurred in the daytime, 58.7 percent occurred at night.
