The Kardashian crew has been in the public eye since 2007 with their television show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Kim Kardashian was the first of the bunch to grab people’s attention as a friend of Paris Hilton. She received, even more, attention when a 2003 sex tape with her former boyfriend Ray J leaked in March 2007. In October 2007, with the help of executive producer Ryan Seacrest, the Kardashian-Jenner family was seen by millions of people nationwide. According to Nielsen Media Research, ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ became the highest-rated Sunday night series and was seen by 1.3 million total viewers in its first month.
Throughout the past ten years, we have heard about the many ups and downs of the Kardashian-Jenner family. In season one, we watched as Kim prepared for her ‘Playboy’ photo shoot, Khloe got a DUI, and nude photos of Kourtney as a teen surfaced. In 2009, Kourtney and Khloe got their first spin-off show called ‘Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami,’ where we saw Khloe judge a drag Khloe Kardashian competition and Kourtney find out that she was pregnant with her first child. In the next seasons, our attention remained with the family through Kourtney and Scott Disick’s many arguments, Khloe and Lamar Odom’s rocky relationship, Kim’s 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries and Bruce’s transition to Caitlyn Jenner. The more recent Kardashian-Jenner drama has been focused on their struggle to adjust to Bruce’s transition to Caitlyn, Kim’s Paris robbery, Rob and Blac Chyna’s relationship problems and Kim and husband Kanye West’s conflicts with singer Taylor Swift.
With everything that we have witnessed happens in their lives, what else can we possibly expect from season 14, ten years after ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ first aired? Around their 10th anniversary, coincidentally, it was revealed that allegedly three of the Kardashian sisters are expecting babies.
Kim and her husband, Kanye, are expecting baby number three via surrogate. After Kim withstood rough pregnancies with her first two children, North and Saint, she was left unable to carry any more children. In episode four of season 13, Kim said to her close friend, Jonathan Cheban, “I can’t carry any more kids. It’s the worst. It’s not going to be happy for me; I had a full break down. I give up.” Later in the episode, Kim talked with her sisters about still wanting to expand her family. “Kanye and I are going to look into other options and see what we are comfortable with. I’m leaning towards, I want to try surrogacy,” said Kim.
On Sept. 22, it was revealed that Kylie Jenner, the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner siblings, is also allegedly pregnant. The 20-year-old is reportedly expecting her first child with rapper boyfriend, Travis Scott. The big reveal has pulled in mixed opinions of whether the baby news is accurate or not. Though Kylie herself has yet to outright confirm that she is, in fact, pregnant, 48-year-old reality star and close friend of the family, Kyle Richards, said in an interview with Us Weekly, “Luckily for Kylie, she’s in a financial position where she can also take care of this child, and she has an incredible support system with her family, so she’s going to be fine!” The fact that Kylie has not yet confirmed the baby news forms the question of whether she is pregnant or if these rumors were just leaked to help bring in, even more, viewers to their 10-anniversary special.
Finally, only days after the news dropped about Kylie’s pregnancy, it was revealed that Khloe and her NBA star boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, are also allegedly pregnant. Again, Khloe and Tristan still have yet to confirm the pregnancy news themselves. An anonymous source told People, “Yes, Khloe and Tristan are expecting, and they are thrilled. This isn’t something they were in a rush to announce to the whole world, and it’s only been in just the past week or so that they’ve felt comfortable telling most of their inner circle.” Being that the source was unnamed until Khloe and Tristan have confirmed these rumors, we cannot be sure that the baby news is, in fact, real.
Another anonymous source told People that Kylie and Khloe are due around the same time and that, “They are looking at it as a unifying experience for them as sisters. Getting pregnant at the same time was unplanned, but they are really happy about it.” So far, none of the couples have officially confirmed their pregnancy rumors, but small bits of information have come from anonymous sources and family friend, Kyle Richards. Time will only tell if the Kardashian-Jenner sisters are genuinely expecting or if it was false information leaked to help drive traffic towards their ten year anniversary of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians.’ One thing is for sure – any news about the Kardashian-Jenner family that comes out next will draw attention.
