After losing to Appalachian State University the day before, Radford’s baseball team came into this game losing five in a row at home. Desperate for a win, Eastern Tennessee State came into the game with a 14-10 record after losing three games in a row to Mercer University.

The Radford Men’s Baseball team came into this past weekend coming off a loss on Thursday to Big South foe Gardner-Webb University. The team had a rough weekend losing on Friday by one run and on Saturday by four, ultimately losing the series 0-3.

In a week dominated by the weather, making multiple games postponed or even cancellated but there was still a fair bit going on in the world of Highlander sports. The frigid and snow-covered week of sports began with the Women’s golf team shooting their season-low total as a team of 313 at the Bobby Nichol’s Intercollegiate tournament in Sevierville, Tennessee.

Orphan’s Promise, a Trip to Puerto Rico

There are some countries still haven’t recovered from the destruction hurricane Maria caused. Puerto Rico was hit directly in its’s path, causing multiple tragedies and catastrophe. Even though it occurred back in September, conditions were terrible enough for one Radford student to make a move.
